Cheeky Nurse

My second project today is an A2 card featuring this cute little nurse from the Greeting Farm, Cheeky Nurse. She was colored using my copics and I added a little bit of glitter to her shoes, collar and sleeves to make the image pop a little. Any excuse to use glitter works for me!..lol. The label she sits on is a nestabilities die cut on Stampin Up's cherry cobbler cardstock. I stamped this sentiment on to the same cherry cobbler cardstock and used Stampin Up's modern label punch to punch it out. The ribbon is from Stampin up as well. The flowers are mini primas, I just love those. The rhinestones and button are from my stash. The background stripe paper is from My Minds Eye, Lost and Found paper stack. I plan to give this card to a coworker who has been feeling under the weather. I really am loving working with the Greeting Farm images. I won a challenge at Simons Stamp and Show and used the gift certificate to purchase 5 of these stamps. They are so cute!

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges: c4c124, stripes and polka dots
Moving along with The Times: Get well soon

Rockabilly green

Good afternoon all. I hope everyone is enjoying the day and doing what they love to do best. I am very excited! I got my first set of copic markers in the mail yesterday and I have been playing with them nonstop! I have so much to learn, thank goodness for youtube. There are some very talented people who love to teach others how to work with this medium and I am so appreciative. I ordered the two of the 72 ciao sets. The other one is on its way..cant wait! So after much trial and error I finally colored an image that I like. It is difficult for me as a beginner to pick color combinations that blend well together. I finally got something that I really liked. The image is from The Greeting Farm, Cheeky Rockability. I love this image and it really lends well to practicing hair coloring and skin technique. I stamped her using black memento ink. I colored her hair using E25, E49 and E57. I used E50 and E53 for her skin and added E93 for her blush. Her dress was colored using R35 and R37. I love how vibrant that color combination looks. I also used that combo on her shoes. I cut out the label using a nestabilities circle and scallop. The blue cardstock behind her was embossed using the swiss dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug and my Grand Calibur. I stamped the sentiment on to white cardstock and punched it out using my modern labels punch from Stampin Up. The ribbon and bling are from my stash. The papers used are from Stampin Up: Love letter stack and DCWV: Dots, Plaids and Stripes stack. This is a simple card but I love how it came out. I did notice that I need to work on my blending of skin tones and I need better paper because the colors were bleeding into eachother. Practice..Practice...Practice! Thank you for stopping by, comments are always appreciated.

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:
The Crafty Pad:#158, blue, red and green
A Gem of A Challenge: #40, A sketch
Anything Goes Challenge Blog: #60, Bingo board, I used 2 or more stamped images, Die cuts/punches and My choice is polka dots.

Cheeky Alert!

Did I mention I would be posting several projects this weekend..lol. My next card measures 5x7 and I put it together using the sketch from Sketch Saturday. Now I think I smiled the whole time I colored this image. The digi is from Kenny K, AlluraVonD. She was colored using my prismas and I used glossy accents to give her boots a patent leather look. I also put glossy accents on her lips to give her a lipgloss look. I used black glitter on her undergarments and boot strings. Her necklace also got the bling treatment. The sentiment is from Stampin Ups Ps. I love you stamp set. I stamped it with basic black ink and then punched it out using Stampin Ups round punch and scalloped punch. The background cardstock is from DCWV: The Street Lace Stack. Ribbons and bling are from my stash. This card will definately be going to the hubby. Thanks so much for stopping in.

The label that frankie stands on was cut using a nestabilities die and my Grand Calibur. The ribbon is from Stampin up in cherry cobbler. Background paper is from DCWV: The winter stack. MissFortune Valentine

Today I wanted to put together a card in the spirit of valentine's day. I just love these digis from Kenny K, this one is MissFortune. I really liked coloring her. The hair was quite challenging but I really like the way she came out. I planned this card out on my Silhoutte studio, to make sure everything fit a 5x7 card. I colored the image with my prismas. The label she sits on was cut on my Cameo, using a download from the Silhoutte library. The light pink cardstock was embossed using a cuttlebug folder and my Grand Calibur. All the paper used is from Stampin Up. The border is a Martha Stewart punch. I stamped the sentiment on very vanilla cardstock with cherry cobbler ink and inked the edges with this ink as well. Ribbon, button and rhinestones are from my stash.

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:

Thankful..

This past week has been very exciting and challenging for me. I started a new job this past week and have been very busy acclimating to my new role and learning the ropes of a new job. I have been very fortunate to have met a group of awesome people who have been so helpful with my transition. I wanted to make a card for a specific individual who has really gone out of her way to help me succeed. I am very thankful and grateful for all of her help. This is a simple A2 card that I made using a stamping up stamp, Apothercary Art. I stamped the image with Cherry Cobbler ink on to Stampin Up's Very Vanilla cardstock. I had to hand cut the stamp out because I ordered the labels die and it's on it's way. I added a little of stickles to the leaves in patina for some sparkle. It really doesnt show up in the picture but it looks really pretty. The border is a Martha Stewart punch and I layered ribbon on top of it and tied a bow at the end. I really like how the bow came out, I'm learning! I added some primas mini roses and some flower brads from my stash. The background paper is from Stampin Up's Love Letter stack. I inked all the edges of my paper and label with Tim Holtz distress ink in Barn Door. I kept the scheme monochromatic and layout simple. This was fun to make. I hope she likes this. Thank you for stopping by and thanks so much for the wonderful comments!

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #61: monochromatic magic
Charizma Cards Challenge #4: Vintage

With Love Envelope Box

I wanted to make a box that could hold some treats and my tiny little easel card that I made several days ago. This box will be going to my son's teacher for Valentines Day. The box was made on my Cameo using a cut file from the Silhoutte library.  The dimensions of the box are 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 1 . The digi is "Chibi Spain" from the Greeting Farm. I printed and cut her out on my Cameo at 4". She was colored with my prismas and I added glitter to her fan, earrings, dress and the flowers on her hair. I stamped my sentiment on Stampin Up cardstock, with cherry cobbler ink and punched it out with the word window punch from Stampin Up. The sentiment is from TCP Studios, Brush Stroke Greetings. The label she rests on is large ovals nestabilities die with the scalloped oval to match. I am very proud of my bow!! The ribbon is from my stash and I glued a button down to the middle. The pattern paper in the background is from Stampin Up, Love Letter. I am having so much fun making all my valentines goodies. I hope you enjoy this cute little box and find some inspiration for your own Valentines projects. Have a great SuperBowl Sunday!

Nurses Call the Shots

First off I would like to say that I am a nurse by profession. I have been blessed and priviledged to be a part of many peoples lives in their greatest times of need. I truly love my profession and some of the very intelligent, caring and dedicated individuals that I have had the honor of working with. I have been touched by so many individuals that have taught me the true importance of life. Through those I care for, I have seen what courage, strenght and perseverance can accomplish. That being said I also have to say that being a nurse has taught me that laughter can also be the best medicine. It is with that sense of humor that I would like to share this cute card that I made.
Todays project is a 5x7 card that was made using one of the digis from the Kenny K workforce collection, Naughty Nurse. The image was colored with my prismas. I added some liquid pearls in platinum to her buttons, glossy accents on her lips, and sprinkled glitter on her cuffs and garters. I colored her syringe with orange, I thought every nurse would recognize the universal color for insulin injections. Her little clipboard was printed from my printer and cut. I also created the sentiment "nurses call the shots" on a word document and punched it out with stampin ups extra large tag punch. The label the nurse is on was cut using my silhoutte cameo. I did an offset to get the layer effect.I also embossed the first layer with my cuttlebug and a script embossing folder from recollections. The syringes in the background were also cut on my Cameo. Embellishments were found in my stash. The papers used are from Stampin up: Love Letter Stack, Cherry Cobbler, and Basic Black. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

I plan to enter this card into the following challenges:

Tiny but Mighty

Today I want to share this super cute and tiny easel card I put together for valentines day. I love this digi from the Greeting Farm, "Chibi Spain". I sized her down to fit my 3 x 3 easel and colored her with my prismas. I sprinkled some glitter on her fan and earrings. The background scalloped square was cut from the Lacy Labels cricut cartridge. The main center heart came from the Hannah Montana cartridge. I put glitter on it using my zig two way glue pen and inkadinkadoo glitter in red. The heart that holds my sentiment was the negative from my heart frame in the center. I printed out my sentiment on the computer and punched it out with my stampin up word window punch. I thought "Mi Amor", my love, was fitting for this image. The heart border was cut out using the Elegant Edges Cartridge, I also used the same glitter on this to add some bling. I used the left over tiny negative space hearts to embellish the front and base of card. I added some black rhinestones from my stash. The paper used is: My Minds Eye, Lost and Found: Union Square 6 x 6 pad and cardstock from stampin up. This card was such a joy to create. I smiled the whole time. It is just so small and so cute.  Thanks for stopping by, Ole!
