I am having so much fun using the April sheetload of cards sketch from Call me crafty Al. I enjoy cardmaking but sometimes I tend to hit a roadblock when it comes down to putting the pieces together. Having a plan takes the stress out of it for me and lets me focus on the fun part, the embellishments, paper choice and images. Using the sketch I created 16 cards in a relatively short amount of time. I like to have plenty of cards in my stash and this was definately a stash builder.
For my first set I used scraps from my bin and made some simple birthday cards. The papers I used were from DCWV and the stamped flowers and sentiments came from a Hero Arts monthly kit. I embellished using sequins from my stash.
The second set is absolutely my favorite! I love the softer colors and the foil on these cards is just beautiful. The picture really does not do it justice. The paper is a 6x6 pad from My Minds Eye. The flowers, wreaths and sentiments are all hot foil plates from Spellbinders. I used the glimmer foil system as I have the Spellbinders Platinum die cut machine. The flowers were colored in using my Copic markers. I topped it off with some gold embellishments from my stash.
